About The Client
The Excellence in Education Initiative (EEI) is a community-based, grass-root initiative of Muslim academics, professionals and community members from Central Florida, aimed at identifying and providing effective and practical support and empowering high-school students toward achieving their highest academic potentials. Started in 2007, Excellence in Education Initiative, with a mission to assist High School students from Central Florida in general and Muslim students in particular to achieve their full potential in terms of academics and leadership skills enabling them to contribute positively to their community and to society in general.
Challenge
Their most recent website had been developed back in 2015 and while it served its purpose for a long time, it was visually dated and obsolete, posing several problems for visitors looking to access information and interact with the services as quickly and efficiently as possible. Furthermore, there was a desperate need to revamp the image of EEI within the public eye as something more than just an SAT prep institution, almost a relic of the past.
Solution
After a thorough research and discovery phase, we identified the key user segments that needed to be catered to and completely rebranded EEI to adapt to them. We improved the information architecture and user journey to optimize conversion time towards the desired outcomes. We created high quality designs that were held against the highest of industry standards, before incrementally developing them on WordPress with custom themes and the latest plugins. After thorough testing and debugging, the final version was launched in early September ahead of the anticipated Fall intake. Our documentation-rich processes were easy to communicate to stakeholders and the handover process was seamless.
